The exhibition is based on a manipulative comparison of archival footage from the Second World War and modern photos of occupied Mariupol from 2022\u20132024. In this way, the propaganda attempts to equate the fight against Nazism in the past with its own military invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>Such events are another tool of russia&#8217;s information war. The kremlin uses them to misinform foreign audiences and create a basis for justifying the occupation of Ukrainian territories.
