Another round of emotional stories without evidence is a standard tool of the kremlin\u2019s information warfare.<\/p>\n<p>moscow traditionally accuses Ukraine of what it systematically does itself. It is russia whose crimes against prisoners of war have been repeatedly documented by the UN, human rights organizations, and journalistic investigations. At the same time, the kremlin fabricates pseudo-testimonies to divert attention from its own torture, executions, and inhumane treatment.<\/p>\n<p>The Center has previously reported that russia uses the issue of prisoners of war as a tool to justify its own war crimes and to discredit Ukraine on the international stage.
