However, the construction sector is suffering the most. According to russian experts, in 5\u20137 years, there may simply be no one left in russia to build anything.<\/p>\n<p>The full-scale invasion of Ukraine has led to a significant outflow of labor \u2014 either to fight in the war or to work in defense enterprises \u2014 sharply worsening the workforce shortage across many sectors. The construction industry feels this shortage most acutely, despite an unprecedented market decline, shrinking volumes of construction, widespread bankruptcies of developers, and mass layoffs.<\/p>\n<p>All attempts by russian propaganda and vladimir putin personally to reassure the public with tales of \u201cunprecedented growth\u201d in the russian economy are in vain \u2014 the reality cannot be hidden.
