The media covering the event received instructions from putin’s administration to “radiate optimism.”<\/p>\n
However, despite the organizers’ efforts and the huge amount of money spent on holding the forum, its propaganda effect has turned out to be minimal. This is because russia has no real substantial achievements to show.<\/p>\n
Thus, the greatest attention at the forum is drawn not by the new models of the Lada car, which are not innovative, but by purely propaganda actions. For example, a stand featuring awards given to putin’s father, merchandise with quotes from putin and the russian foreign minister lavrov, the “manifesto of the ruble,” or the participation of a taliban delegation.<\/p>\n
In reality, the russian economy is suffering more and more from systemic crises with each passing day of the war against Ukraine and sanctions, leading to the collapse of non-defense production, the decline of many industries, and a lower standard of living for the people.
