The agreement involves a comprehensive investment deal for the development, management, and operation of a multipurpose terminal at the port of Tartus \u2014 a site long used by russia as a key military-logistical hub in the Mediterranean. Additionally, during a visit by Syrian head of state Ahmad al-Sharaa to Paris, an agreement was signed with French logistics operator CMA CGM for the operation of another Syrian port \u2014 Latakia.<\/p>\n
