Residents of voskresensky hamlet, near the city of anapa, have recorded a video appeal to putin after thousands of tons of fuel oil-contaminated sand collected from the coastline were dumped on their land. They complain about the suffocating stench from the \u201cfuel oil landfill.\u201d Local authorities had promised to remove the dump by April 1, but instead they are bringing in even more contaminated sand.<\/p>\n<p>As is known, russian officials have still not recovered the damaged tankers from the seabed \u2014 operations are set to begin only next year.
