Officially, it aims to promote the russian language and culture abroad and allegedly to improve the quality of education in host countries. In reality, however, this project is a powerful tool for advancing the \u201crussian world\u201d and operates in tandem with branches of the russian orthodox church abroad. This is necessary for russia to increase the number of its allies on the international stage.<\/p>\n<p>The project spans 29 countries of the Global South, including India, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, South Africa, Algeria, and Lebanon.
