This skepticism is present even in China\u2019s official media, which consistently promote diplomatic resolution. In China\u2019s liberal media, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy\u2019s statement that putin effectively rejected the ceasefire by attacking Ukraine with drones immediately after the negotiations has gained traction.<\/p>\n
Ahead of the negotiations, narratives about possible territorial concessions by Ukraine gained significant circulation in many regions of the Global South. In India and the Middle East, there was noticeable negative reaction, with concerns raised that \u201ctrading territories\u201d could pose a threat to global security.<\/p>\n
