\u25ab\ufe0f russian propaganda resources are attempting to inject numerous false reports into the Ukrainian information space, such as “UAF fighter stabbed his wife over vodka” or “Returned from the front and went on a killing spree.” To make these claims appear credible, they are often illustrated with screenshots of news articles from Ukrainian websites.<\/p>\n
In reality, all these claims are disinformation. The enemy identifies real news reports about domestic crimes on Ukrainian websites, then adds fabricated details suggesting that the perpetrator was a serviceman. They then attempt to amplify the spread of these fakes.<\/p>\n
\u25ab\ufe0f This campaign is part of the kremlin’s efforts to discredit Ukraine\u2019s Defence Forces in the eyes of the Ukrainian public and provoke division between civilians and military personnel.<\/p>\n
