The purpose of these posts is to discredit German politicians who support Ukraine and strengthen sanctions against Russia. Many of the messages contain narratives that the German population is against supporting Ukraine, or that support for Ukraine is allegedly at the expense of German interests.<\/p>\n<p>The fact that this information campaign is being conducted centrally is indicated by the use of bot networks that distribute the same type of content using the same hashtags and artificially generated images.<\/p>\n<p>Attempts of Russian interference in the elections have been previously recorded by German federal agencies.<\/p>\n<p>The Center also warned that Russian special services are entering an active stage of information operations against Ukraine and Europe.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Center records the increase in Russian disinformation campaigns ahead of the early parliamentary elections in Germany on February 23.
