Russian hackers are attacking the Signal of the Ukrainian military. This was reported by Google.<\/p>\n
The Google that Russian hackers had breached some Signal accounts of Ukrainian military personnel to gain access to their confidential communications. This is done through the \u201clinked devices\u201d feature in the Signal app, which allows you to log in to one account from multiple devices.<\/p>\n
One method is for the Russian hacker group Sandworm (or APT44, a part of the Russian military intelligence service) to work with Russian soldiers on the front lines to link Signal accounts on devices captured on the battlefield to their own systems, allowing the spy group to monitor communication channels.<\/p>\n
Another method involves deceiving the Ukrainian military through malicious QR codes that automatically link the victim’s account to the hacker’s system, allowing for real-time interception of messages.<\/p>\n
Google warns that similar attacks may increase beyond the Ukrainian front.<\/p>\n
