By the end of 2024, the Russian Ministry of Finance reported a budget shortfall of nearly 3.5 trillion rubles (approximately 35 billion US dollars) &#8211; the largest deficit recorded during the full-scale war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>To address this, the Russian Ministry of Finance plans to reduce the deficit by raising taxes, which will inevitably lead to higher prices. In other words, ordinary Russians will once again bear the burden of the Kremlin dictator\u2019s aggressive ambitions.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Center reported that during the full-scale war against Ukraine, the National Welfare Fund of the Russian Federation shrank by two-thirds.
