The sanctions list includes 69 Sovcomflot vessels, including 54 oil tankers and 4 liquefied natural gas tankers.<\/p>\n<p>\u25aa\ufe0f Sovcomflot claims to comply with laws and standards, but in reality, the company&#8217;s vessels are used as a \u201cshadow fleet\u201d to circumvent sanctions.<\/p>\n<p>Sanctions against Sovcomflot are an important step in combating Russian attempts to finance aggression against Ukraine through energy exports.
