Russian media are actively promoting the report of the so-called international public tribunal on the \u201ccrimes of Ukrainian neo-Nazis,\u201d which alleges massacres of civilians in Selydove. This report employs familiar propaganda techniques that the Kremlin has long used to tarnish the image of the Ukrainian military:<\/p>\n
\u25ab\ufe0f baseless accusations of deliberate attacks on civilians;
\n\u25ab\ufe0f claims of repressions based on language or nationality;
\n\u25ab\ufe0f promotion of the \u201cUkrainian Nazism\u201d narrative.<\/p>\n
The objective of this information operation is to discredit Ukraine in the eyes of the international community.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Ukrainian law enforcement has documented cases of civilian killings in Selydove carried out by Russian occupiers and is actively investigating these crimes.<\/p>\n
