The main reason is russia&#8217;s war in Ukraine and sanctions. Currently, European markets are completely closed to russian coal, while China and India have their own production and supplies to these countries are declining. Despite China&#8217;s statements about strategic partnership, Beijing imposed a fee on coal from russia.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, russian coal companies are becoming unprofitable. Experts believe that the closure of a large number of them and layoffs are inevitable.
