The head of the russian foreign intelligence service, sergei naryshkin, has accused Ukraine and its partners of planning and carrying out terrorist attacks in russia. He made the following disinformation claims:<\/p>\n
\u25ab\ufe0f “U.S. intelligence provides Kyiv with data for strikes on civilian infrastructure in russia”;
\n\u25ab\ufe0f “Ukraine was planning to seize and mine the kursk nuclear power plant”;
\n\u25ab\ufe0f “Western intelligence services trained Ukrainian sabotage groups for operations in russia”;
\n\u25ab\ufe0f “The West wants to use the Ukrainians to destabilize the Eurasian region.”<\/p>\n
With such statements, russia continues its efforts to portray Ukraine as a “terrorist state” that allegedly poses a global threat. Russia aims to sow distrust in Ukraine and intimidate countries that provide support to Kyiv.<\/p>\n
The claims made by the head of russian intelligence are blatant lies, and naryshkin provides no evidence to back them up.
