The Center is launching a series of publications on anti-Ukrainian propaganda in North Korea and the main channels of dissemination of narratives favorable to russia.<\/p>\n

Propaganda in the DPRK is spread exclusively through state resources – state-funded media and government and party organizations that were created to work with information policy.<\/p>\n

Through a centralized system of information control, Pyongyang actively promotes narratives that correspond to three main propaganda lines:<\/p>\n

\u25fd\ufe0fjustification of russia’s aggression against Ukraine and support for russia’s actions in general;
\n\u25fd\ufe0fharsh anti-Western rhetoric;
\n\u25fd\ufe0femphasizing its independence and power.<\/p>\n

The main actors in North Korea’s propaganda are TV hosts, politicians, and party officials. Kim Yo-jong, the younger sister of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, plays an important role in shaping the DPRK’s information policy.<\/p>\n
