A new wave of discrediting operation “Vivaldi”: a russian AI-generated fake on TikTok
russian bot farms on TikTok are spreading a video allegedly featuring a Ukrainian serviceman who claims to reveal the “truth” about Operation “Vivaldi.” The man speaks about the alleged “irrational use of resources,” “massive losses,” and “lack of results.”
In reality, the video was generated using artificial intelligence. It was disseminated through a network of russian-controlled accounts that systematically spread similar fake content.
This is another stage of the campaign to discredit Operation “Vivaldi,” which the Center has previously documented. By impersonating Ukrainian military personnel using AI-generated avatars, the enemy seeks to undermine the achievements of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, sow distrust among the public, and discredit the military command.
