Fake claim about the “forced mobilisation” of OCU priests
Hostile resources are spreading a fabricated video allegedly produced on behalf of the Ukrainian educational and cultural project «Plomin».
It cites fabricated data from the international human rights organisation Human Rights Watch about the alleged mobilisation of 500 OCU priests during the summer of 2026.
In reality, this is fake. The official Human Rights Watch website contains no reports confirming this information. The video is also not available on the social media accounts of the «Plomin» project.
The information about 500 clergy members has a real context, but not the one presented in this fake. Metropolitan Yevstratii (Zoria) previously reported that more than 500 OCU chaplains were serving voluntarily in the ranks of the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine. Ukrinform article
