In general, the essence of the psychological “halo effect” can be expressed in two statements:
“next to each other means together”
“if a person is effective in one field, he or she will be the same in another”
An example of how russian propagandists use the “halo effect”:
glorification of the “feat” of one of the occupation forces soldiers
identifying the “feat” of one soldier with the “feat” of the entire unit
extending the effect of the unit’s “feat” to the entire invading army
creating a false logical construction: “a heroic warrior is an effective army”
Russian propaganda uses the “halo effect,” in particular, to glorify the russian military and create a general image of an effective army.
