“Statement of fact” is the presentation of the desired information in the media as indisputable.
Most often, this mechanism is used in the news format or in the format of sociological research.
To give greater credibility to materials using the “statement of fact” mechanism, propaganda widely uses comments from “opinion leaders” – popular journalists, well-known political scientists, etc.
Example:
Very often, journalists of russian propaganda media working in the temporarily occupied territories make loud statements about the transfer of control of certain Ukrainian settlements to the russian Armed Forces, for example, “the russian military captured and fully control the city…”, although in reality the fighting for the city is still ongoing.
